Chardonnay Shaved Ice Anyone?
I had the pleasure of pouring our wines at the 2nd Annual Avila Beach Concours D' Elegance Event which was a benefit for the Hospice of San Luis Obispo. Auto enthusiasts from all over the state came together this weekend for tastings, dinners, and timed rally tours through Wine Country. The first grand dinner of the weekend was held at the historic Santa Margarita Ranch on Friday night. The Ranch boasts original steam engine trains from Disneyland, which still operate to this day.

This was the first time I saw snow covered grape vines. It was pretty, but their reds do not compare to ours at all. I do so love their dessert wines. I can't remember what winery the picture was taken at, but a nice little tour downstairs. I don't think I could have gotten that barrel on the plane. BooHoo
